Claim Procedures
Where your animal has died from an injury, illness or has been euthanased, the Austbrokers Bloodstock claims protocol is
as follows:
- Immediately call Austbrokers Bloodstock claims team (any time,
any day):

- Ensure you have the Vet's contact details and ask them to be available to discuss the matter with
Austbrokers Bloodstock team and/or consulting Vet.
- Be aware that a Post Mortem is a policy requirement and must be performed by your Veterinarian,
our staff at Austbrokers Bloodstock can arrange this on your behalf as we understand this can be an upsetting task for you to undertake. Post Mortem Reports are then generally forwarded direct to Austbrokers Bloodstock with a copy to the Owner.
- Complete a claim form. This can be downloaded here, emailed, posted or faxed to you. Let us know how we
can help.
- Be available to the Austbrokers Bloodstock team
as required.
Where your animal has been injured or fallen ill which MAY cause it to die or require euthanasia, the Austbrokers Bloodstock claims protocol is as follow:
- Do all that is possible to keep the animal in good health.
- Ensure your Vet's contact details are available and inform them they may be contacted by the Austbrokers Bloodstock team or consulting Vet.

- Be available to Austbrokers Bloodstock team as required.
In all cases you should act as if they were uninsured - that is doing everything possible to reduce the potential loss for all concerned (you and your insurer).
Claim Procedures
Any incident or event likely to give rise to a claim should be immediately reported to our office as soon as possible.
We will then notify your Insurer and advise you of the procedure to be adopted in order to pursue your claim. A completed claim form is generally required & should be completed as soon as possible after the event.

For theft of Property & Money, it is necessary to report the loss to Police.
AUSTBROKERS AEI TRANSPORT should be contacted if a claim is not being handled satisfactorily.
In all cases involving a known or potential claim involving your liability to other parties, it is essential that you do not admit liability or make any offer of settlement to the other party as your right to indemnity under your insurance may be prejudiced.
